That aimlessness is the scenarios magic, and for that reason I’m not sure how well this one will age on repeat play throughs. Oh sure, the scenario insert provides some cryptic hints that one agenda deck will open the path and the other lead to doom (a not so subtle hint that this scenario could be the last), but when you actually play the scenario for the first time you really have no idea what you’re doing. We knew of course that it was going to be different, having two agenda decks ensured that, but I never anticipated how aimless it would feel. I’ve had a chance to play Black Star Rises three times now, first with Roland/Agnes (standard) followed by solo Wendy and Zoey (both on hard), and it’s proven to be an interesting one.
